1. Understanding Cancellations
This Cancellation Policy details the terms and conditions associated with cancelling a cruise booking made through SpotMyCruise. Cancellation policies are primarily determined by the individual cruise lines, and SpotMyCruise adheres to these policies when processing cancellation requests.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Fusce vehicula dolor arcu, sit amet blandit dolor mollis nec. Donec viverra eleifend lacus, vitae ullamcorper metus. Sed sollicitudin ipsum quis nunc sollicitudin.
2. How to Cancel Your Booking
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to SpotMyCruise via email at support@spotmycruise.com or by calling our customer service line at 1-888-888-8888. Please include your booking reference number and the full names of all passengers in your cancellation request.
Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. The date of cancellation will be the date on which SpotMyCruise receives your written notification during our business hours (Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST).
3. Cancellation Fees and Penalties
Cancellation fees are set by the cruise lines and vary based on several factors, including:
- How far in advance of the sailing date the cancellation is made.
- The specific cruise line and itinerary.
- The type of cabin and fare purchased (e.g., promotional fares often have stricter cancellation terms).
Typically, the closer to the sailing date a cancellation is made, the higher the cancellation penalty. In some cases, particularly for last-minute cancellations or certain promotional fares, the entire booking amount may be non-refundable.
SpotMyCruise may also charge a nominal administrative fee for processing cancellations, which will be communicated to you at the time of your cancellation request. This fee is separate from any penalties imposed by the cruise line.
4. Cruise Line Specific Policies
Each cruise line (e.g., Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, etc.) has its own detailed cancellation policy, which is usually provided at the time of booking or can be found on their respective websites. We strongly advise you to familiarize yourself with the specific cancellation terms applicable to your booked cruise.
SpotMyCruise acts as an agent and is bound by these cruise line policies. We will provide you with the relevant cruise line's cancellation schedule and penalties upon request or at the time of cancellation.
5. Travel Insurance
We highly recommend the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation and interruption. Travel insurance can help protect your investment in the event you need to cancel your cruise due to unforeseen circumstances covered by the policy (e.g., medical emergencies, bereavement).
Please note that travel insurance premiums are generally non-refundable once the policy's free-look period has expired.
6. Changes to Bookings
Making changes to your booking (e.g., name changes, sailing date changes) may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking by the cruise line and could incur similar penalties. Please contact us to discuss any potential changes to your reservation.
7. No-Shows
Failure to embark on the cruise (no-show) will typically result in a 100% cancellation penalty, meaning no refund will be provided for any portion of the cruise fare or associated charges.
